Ford Truck Starters
This is Ford’s most prevalent starter since 1991. Rebuilders call it PMGR (permanent magnet gear reduction). When you dis- assemble it, you’ll notice the man made magnets instead of electrical fields and the 3 planetary gears in the middle. The kit gets its name from the fact that the gear is open and exposed at the face of the starter. (OF) Thumb on the 2nd picture, you’ll notice the small post terminal is on the right. (the starter lead wire post is on the bottom, the main battery terminal post is at the top. Thus ROF means right open face. This open face style is common on Ford trucks. Note : starters before 1995 have a push on terminal spade but must be updated to post style. Cut off spade from existing harness and install new ring terminal.
Kit contents are : New solenoid, bendix, brush holder ass’y., snap ring ass’y
We have many kits in stock and ready to ship! Shortly after we see your order, we send you a link to Youtube so you can begin watching your video while your kit is being shipped to you.
Our videos make the job easy, every step of the way. You can even call us, and a starter alternator rebuilder will call you back. But (worst case scenario) if you just can’t get it, you can even ship the unit to us, and we will finish the job for you, for a nominal fee not including parts.
We also boast a “no competition” presence on the web for our other educational siteswww.alternatorrebuildkits.com and www.starterrebuildkits.com. We know of no other site that provides this much actual educational material from the people who actually “do” the work, not just sit around and write articles.
Some specifications are listed above. If you are not sure if this is the correct kit for you, or if you have any questions, please visit our kit application website at www.qui-quote.com toI.D. the proper rebuild kit for your specific vehicle. You could also visit rebuilderinabox.com
